Please reflect on your sound design project creating the soundtrack of your life. Answer the following questions in your digital notebooks and share the link to your reflection to this assignment.
1. What went into your decision about what song represented you and parts of your life? Did you have to choose between songs that would fit that moment? What helped you make the choice?
2. What was the most challenging element of this project? Least Challenging? Why?
3. Describe the major responsibilities of a sound designer and their role is how to tell a story.
4. Rate yourself on the scale of 4 to 1. Justify your score by providing specific examples from your project.
4 = Student work demonstrates exemplary understanding of telling the story through sound. Some examples may include a use of motif or having songs run together with seamless editing.
3= Student work shows an understanding of creating various moods via music in order to tell a cohesive story. Transitions between songs/sounds are smooth (no obvious breaks or gaps in sound).
2= Student work shows an attempt at understanding the concept of storytelling with music and sound editing. Work is emerging but does not show concepts are fully grasped. The student is expected to revise their work to show understanding and a 3 grade.
1=Work is incomplete and missing key elements of the overall project.
