COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS

The students in Technical Theatre created and agreed to the following agreements:

PERIOD ONE

1. We will focus on what we can do, not what we can't.

2. Be respectful of other people 's choices, opinions, and to not be rude to others. In other words, "Don't be a jerk!"

3. Stay focused by demonstrating positive active participation.

4. Trust that each person is doing what they can to create the best learning space for themselves and for others.

5. Be flexible and understanding of each person's situation.

6. Be open to all ideas, listen to understand and be willing to agree to disagree

PERIOD THREE

1. Work together to finish the task, and be willing to connect as people so we get a better understanding of each of us as humans.

2. Allow each person to create the environment that works best for them without distracting others.

3. Understand that we are all new to online school so we should have patience with one another throughout the semester and ask for help and offer help when needed.

4. Assume the best of each other without harmful judgment.

5.Add onto others ideas rather than cancelling it out.

Keep In Mind

On the very first class session, a quote was read to help remind us how to navigate this moment in history. It reads, "Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light." - Albus Dumbledore. We all have the ability to be the light for ourselves, our peers, and our community by showing kindness and respect. As we learn how to come together in a digital space, we have all struggled at times. Please give yourself and others compassion as it is a steep learning curve.
