Welcome to Choi's Art Class

Welcome back! This class is for preparing AP 2D Design Test. The primary students meet 2 or 3 times per week as a whole group and in small group meetings as needed to submit the AP test.

I look forward to maintaining a supportive environment for learning. My teaching methods are disciplined and based: on art history, art criticism, studio art, and aesthetics.

Communication

Course Updates: I will communicate with students through Announcements in Canvas and email

Choi's office hour: Prep time- 4th period by appointment

Expectations

Material Access: All the assignments and lectures will be delivered through class meetings and Modules in the Canvas.
Organizational Method: Students and parents can check their progress and grades via PowerSchool and Canvas
Expectations: Students must attend class meetings and hand in assignments before the Final Exam to earn the credit for this class.

AP Exam Information From District

Dear AP Scholar, I’m sending you this email to connect on a few things:

1 – You are receiving this email because you are registered in AP Classroom. That’s great but are you using the resources in there? YOU SHOULD! It will be very helpful for the course and/or exam.

2 – While in AP Classroom, confirm your exam order status. When you login, you can see everything but you will get an email for each course/exam for this winter update:

Registered name = Teng Panha Hout

Registered course/exam = AP English Literature and Composition

Exam site = Hoover High

Exam order status* = Yes

*Yes = your exam order is complete and we are planning to see you on exam day

*No / Undecided = we have not received your payment for the exam so we are not expecting you on exam day, but you can still use all the resources in AP Classroom

4 – If you have an IEP or 504 plan, make sure you connect with your counselor and/or case manager IMMEDIATELY to confirm your testing accommodations are set. It does NOT automatically apply from your school education plan – you must request it from AP...good news, once you are approved, it is good for all CollegeBoard exams including PSAT, SAT, and AP until you graduate!

5 – If you like your AP courses, make sure your counselor knows ... we are making plans for next year now and need your input!
